Reviewers Guidelines

Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and scientific integrity of the Yearbook of the University of Economics – Varna.

Reviewers are expected to adhere to the following principles:

Confidentiality

  • Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.

  • Reviewers must not share or discuss the manuscript with others without permission from the editors.

Objectivity

  • Reviews must be conducted objectively and professionally.

  • Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

Contribution to editorial decisions

  • Reviewers assist the Editorial Board in making decisions regarding the publication of manuscripts and may also help authors improve their work.

Acknowledgement of sources

  • Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

  • Reviewers must not use any form of AI.

Conflict of interest

  • Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts if they have any conflict of interest related to the authors, institutions, or research.

Timeliness

Reviewers should complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe. If they are unable to do so, they should notify the editor promptly.
